“Crush It!” author Gary Vaynerchuk sings Social Media!

by Buck on October 19, 2009

Gary Vaynerchuk of WineLibraryTV.com is one of the most passionate people I’ve met. His zest for life and for spreading the message he delivers in his new book “Crush It! Why NOW Is The Time to Cash In On Your Passion” is infectious.

Make sure you watch both parts of the interview and leave your comments below!

Part 1 of 2

Part 2 of 2

Crush It! author, Gary Vaynerchuk (Wine Library TV), nabbed while leaving his DC hotel and “forced” :-) to reveal his methods for building and monetizing a personal brand using Social Media.

Hey Buck: As an entrprenuer since I was a teenager (more than 50 years) I understood and know the principles Gary shared actually do work. My current business Addiction Management Systems Inc. (AMS) has been in business for more than 20 years. The market for the AMS self-help ‘failure-free’ Smoking Control/Cessation Program is in the multiple billions depending on the ‘direct-to-consumer’ price point. If you send me an email address to which I can send attachments; I will send a personal and an AMS Bio. I am about to make a strategic change in AMS’ marketing strategy that will likely include an “association/partnership with a Company with the experience and internet marketing skills that Organica has.
Respectfully,
Frederick M. ‘Rick’ Weston

Love it! Thank you Gary. Love your down to earth realism and authenticity. Thanks for being you..allowing us other entrepreneurs to be ourselves too.
I agree wholeheartedly with your comments on selling…what’s the issue with selling anyway? It’s how all products, services and information are moved. Selling is done everyday by everyone, the complainer, the child, the parent, the spouse, they are either selling you on their story or you are selling them on yours.

Thank you so much for sharing that with us! I am a software engineer and I have created websites for others. I’m thinking now is the time to create my own. :)

Again, thank you for sharing!

I quite agree that if you are NOT doing what you Love, and it’s NOT your NICHE, so to speak, You will not be happy and not enjoy life, near as much. I’m wanting very badly, to be a Certified Gemologist, and It’s my Niche for sure, but my problem is my health, and lack of funding, too. I will someday if I live long enough, do this, as It’s truly my passion and I feel that Mr. Vaynerchuk has it totally right, in stating why work 17 hours a day and hate it…I also hope that one day, due to my health , there again, I’m going to be Certified in Gemology, I love rare and exotics, in Gems, not diamonds, unless pink, or blue, and some of the Champagne, too. but the point is, I love it, and I wan this so badly I can taste it, but I’m a Cancer patient and sadly day by day, I’m fading but I’m trying still too. I think that’s the difference, not giving up. That is why I keep saying this, due to Passions and wants, I will do this, I keep praying and trying, too.

Hi Gary,
very inspiring interview. My mother made the best vinegar in Tanga, Tanzania. She made it from coconut sap. She had customers from all over the region. She believed in her product with passion.
I make fruit wines in Newfoundland and against all odds we have excellent sales. We now make a premium Ice Berg Vodka.SEDNA VODKA. I will have it on the market shortly and it will be just the tip of the ice berg. We have several other products that will follow.

best wishes
Hilary

Great interview, thanks for sharing. Gary is just such a down to earth no bullsh*t kind of guy. He is so transparent and not full of himself, like so many other self proclaimed “social media” experts with books out now. Really refreshing to see real people with no filter.

Thanks
