Are we focused on the wrong thing?

What most of us have been lead to believe is just not true.

Conventional medicine would have you believe that lowering your blood sugar is the be-all, end-all solution to type 2 diabetes.

But what if that is a mistake that misses the REAL underlying trigger of not just what causes type 2 diabetes, but all major age-related illnesses?

You see, elevated blood sugar is just a SYMPTOM of underlying metabolic, physiologic, and biochemical processes that are out of balance.

Lowering blood sugar with medications does NOT address the underlying triggers that give rise to the high blood sugar in the first place.

This may surprise you, but many of the methods used to lower blood sugar such as insulin or oral hypoglycemic drugs actually make the problem WORSE.

This happens because these methods actually increase the levels of another substance in your body that is the true trigger of the misery that over 125 million Americans suffer from.

This substance is the single most important trigger that leads to rapid and premature aging and all its resultant diseases, including heart disease, stroke, dementia, and cancer.

But when you shift your focus from trying to manage blood sugar, as millions unfortunately incorrectly do now, to fixing the underlying problems that cause excessive levels of this particularly deadly trigger, remarkable things can occur, such as:

- Weight loss, particularly around the belly…
- Improved energy…
- Better mental clarity…
- More stable, enjoyable mood…
- Better memory…
- Reduced joint pain…
- Improvement in blood sugar and hemoglobin A1c…
- Lower blood pressure and cholesterol…

How to Get this Poisonous Trigger Under Control

Mark Hyman, M.D., a leader in the emerging field of functional medicine who has been featured on 60 minutes before, is holding a special webinar in which he’ll reveal exactly how this poisonous trigger can be brought under control with a special 7-step process.

In this ground breaking webinar, you’ll discover:

- Why blood sugar is NOT the real problem…
- Why type 2 diabetes is NOT genetic and IS reversible…
- How to lower your risk of heart disease and dementia…
- Why these “bugs” inside you may be part of the problem…
- The 7 underlying causes that must be fixed…

Space is limited to only 500, so please secure your spot now to discover what the REAL underlying cause of type 2 diabetes is.

[Click Here To Secure Your Seat]

Once you deal with this true underlying cause, you can free yourself to return to the happy, active, normal, hassle-free life that you once enjoyed.

Please secure your spot now before all of the slots are taken.

Sincerely,
Buck Rizvi

P.S. This webinar will introduce you to a powerful new way of thinking about your health. You will realize that what you’ve come to know as a “normal” life full of illness, pain, frustration and just managing symptoms is NOT normal.

You have a choice and there IS hope for every single one of you reading this. The key is to deal with the underlying biological reasons of why you may be sick, fat, tired, depressed or suffering from any other health problem.

This new approach that you will be introduced to is the medicine of the future, but Dr. Hyman will make it available to you today.

Please secure your spot on this webinar now.

Do we need drug rehab centers for this?

For years, I’ve battled with my weight.

At the age of 18, I was 210 pounds and had to drop below 194 to join the U.S. Air Force.

Back then I was able to shed the pounds fairly quickly, but lived in constant fear of embarrassment over the military’s “Fat Boy” weight reduction program if I went over the limit.

27 years and literally thousands of cheeseburgers, fries and cokes later (yes, they served those in the military “chow hall,” too), a newly released study suggests I was probably as addicted to fattening food…

…as a crack addict is to cocaine.

Scientists at SCRIPPS Research Institute in Southern California released a study that shows “for the first time that the same molecular mechanisms that drive people into drug addiction are behind the compulsion to overeat, pushing people into obesity.”

The Scientists gave lab rats easy access to high-calorie, high fat foods like sausage, bacon, and cheesecake.

Predictably, these rats got super fat.

But they also became so addicted to this diet that they would continue eating even while experiencing electrical shocks to their feet. OUCH!

The wiring in their brains was so warped by the long term effects of the junk food that the rats would gladly risk permanent bodily injury in order to get back to the bliss of having their cake and eating it, too.

But what happened next was even more amazing.

When scientists switched the fat rats to a nutritious “salad bar” diet, they got UPSET and revolted by refusing to eat. They actually starved themselves for two weeks.

This study reinforces what I discovered about myself.

We all have the same easy access to cheap, “addictive” food eaten by the lab rats in this experiment. Last time I checked, McDonalds was still selling double cheeseburgers on their “Dollar Menu.”

Food like this is loaded with highly refined carbohydrates in the form of white flour, high fructose corn syrup, trans-fats, and various chemicals too numerous to list here.

That’s just the bun.

As you probably know, an “addict” has to go through a detoxification process to get “clean.”

For years, I was a serious processed food “Addict” in desperate need of an intervention.

It wasn’t until I noticed that my blood pressure had creeped into the “pre-hypertensive” zone that I got the “wake up call” I needed and decided to take action (my wife and 3 young kids were a great incentive).

I began by eliminating processed foods from my diet, starting with anything made with:

White sugar and white (bleached wheat) flour

High fructose corn syrup

Hydrogenated oils (aka trans fats)

This basically deep-sixed ALL fast food in one fell swoop.

It wasn’t easy.

I had two days of sheer hell (headaches, low energy, irritability) followed one day of feeling so-so.

By the fourth day I was just fine. After a week I felt more alive and energetic than I had in years.

And you know what else? Those stubborn extra 10-15 pounds that I’ve carried around off and on since my teens started to melt off (surprise, surprise)!

Today, I’m happy to report, my blood pressure is perfect and I’m able to walk right by fast food restaurants with strength and conviction. In fact, some of the smells that emanate from these places make me sick to my stomach.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still eat a quality cheeseburger and fries now and then. It’s just nice to know that I’ve taken back control of my appetite instead of letting the food industry giants nurture and feed my addictions.

These addictions are definitely not easy to beat and now we KNOW that they’re not our fault.

I think the KNOWLEDGE of what the junk food was doing to my brain helped me to get the leverage to finally make a change.

Are you thinking about going into “food rehab” or have you already kicked the “junk food” habit?

Share your feedback in the comments section below.
